Where knowledge
meets practice.
Workshops, technical exchanges, collaborative programmes and learning initiatives help translate numerical methods from equations into engineering practice.
The workshop that brought people together.
An early MSNM activity, documented in the Society’s own 2019 website archive and presented here as a featured programme.

1D Finite Element Method Workshop
Held at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, in collaboration with UTM-CIAM and the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The original report records attendance of more than 40 participants and acknowledges MSNM members who volunteered as facilitators.

1D Finite Element Method Workshop at UTM
The Society’s first 1D-FEM workshop brought together more than 40 participants. Organised in collaboration with UTM Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (UTM-CIAM) and the Faculty of Civil Engineering, UTM; MSNM members volunteered as facilitators.
Report in 2019 archive1D-FEM Workshop at Universiti Malaysia Pahang
The 2019 event notice listed a two-day programme focused on bar elements and plane-truss static analysis. An event announcement is not, by itself, proof of completion.
Listed in 2019 noticeHeriot-Watt–MSNM FEM Five-Day Crash Course
The archived announcement proposed instruction from fundamental numerical methods through bar, beam, truss and frame elements, buckling, vibrations, heat transfer and plane stress.
Tentative programmeAdvanced 2D-FEM Workshop at UTM
A planned advanced workshop covering two-dimensional finite elements, with heat-transfer and plane-stress examples.
Tentative programme2D Finite Element Modeling: Heat Transfer
The supplied poster announces a MATLAB workshop on steady and unsteady heat-transfer problems, progressing from FEM fundamentals to theory, coding and advanced examples. The poster identifies MSNM as organiser with the School of Civil Engineering, UTM and UTM-CIAM as collaborators. Its appearance alone does not establish that the event took place on the scheduled dates.
Original poster supplied by MSNMMJIIT–MSNM Research Collaboration
The historic MSNM website outline includes this research-collaboration activity, but the supplied record does not establish an exact date, itinerary or outcomes.
Archive indexEngagement with VJTI, Mumbai
An engagement session with VJTI, Mumbai, India is listed in the previous website outline. Additional programme records would be needed for an event report.
Archive indexFree Online FEM Class
An open course archive organised by weekly sessions, notes, recorded videos and learning resources. See the dedicated FEM page for the complete syllabus.
Course pageAI from First Principles
An educational series exploring mathematical foundations of artificial intelligence and scientific computing. See the course page for modules and resources.
Course pageRecord convention: “Documented” identifies a programme supported by an event report; “Programme notice” reflects a published announcement; “Website record” reflects a listing in the historic site outline. These labels describe the evidence, not membership or organisational status.
From the original event records.
These original MSNM posters preserve the advertised programmes, venues and syllabuses. Poster dates must be read together with their original tentative or subject-to-change notices. A poster is not proof of programme completion.
1D-FEM Workshop at UTM
29–30 July 2018. The workshop report independently records its delivery and attendance of more than 40 participants.
Heriot-Watt–MSNM FEM Five-Day Crash Course
26–30 August 2019 as advertised in the poster. The earlier event notice described the dates as tentative; the poster does not by itself confirm completion.
2D FEM: Steady & Unsteady Heat Transfer
29–30 October 2019 as shown on the poster, expressly marked subject to change. No claim of actual delivery is made.
People, places and collaboration.
Photographs preserved in MSNM’s existing media collection. Specific event captions will be added only where a programme, date and location can be independently matched.

Image labels identify the broad context of the archival photos and do not assert unverified dates, participant identities or event sponsorships.
Knowledge exchange continues online.
Online classes are part of MSNM’s wider engagement record. Detailed weekly notes, recordings and teaching materials remain on their dedicated course pages.
